Wollastonite
Wollastonite is a naturally occurring industrial mineral which has become one of the most versatile functional fillers in the marketplace. Depending on the end use application wollastonite is milled into different particle sizes and is available in both low and high aspect ratio grades. The chemical purity and stability of the products are high due to the unique flotation technology, where the impurities are removed from wollastonite.
Wollastonite increases the performance of many products including plastics, paints and coatings, construction materials, friction, ceramic and metallurgical applications to name a few. Surface treated grades are available for specialist apllications.
Wollastonite can be used inconjunction with other reinforcing fillers such as milled glass fibre.
